Another set of buildings based on a design by Shiaic on Thingverse named "Modern Residential Building - 6mm". As before I enlarged, hollowed, and edited it so it can be printed in a Anycubic. There are five designs: base, base with less details, 2X base with less details, a long topper and a short topper. The short topper will only fit on base design with less details, both toppers may be used as stand alone buildings. The STLs can be found in the Thingverse group named mechwarrior and all things mech.

Alpha Strike - A few 3D printed Buildings
Printed up some buildings that I enlarged, hollowed, and edited a little to make them fit in the Anycubic printer. They are not to any real scale, but I tried to make all the doors the same height. I am also trying to stay away from any overly detailed buildings, since they will no survive very long in the terrain box. No fancy painting just spray can and blacked out windows.
The STLs can be found in the Thingverse group named mechwarrior and all things mech. Will have some more buildings in a week or so.

Alpha Strike - Easy kitbash Marksman M1
I have been looking for vehicles (chassis) that are reasonably in scale and can be easily modified to fit the general theme of a vehicle. Recently I picked up a couple of Hotwheel UNSC Scorpion tanks at the local grocery store for four dollars each. I cannot tell what scale it is, other than Hotwheel scale. Used two magnets to attach the turret and a hole punch to make a disc to cover the hole where the mg turret was. Its nothing complicated, but it looks more like the 95 ton tank that it should be.

Alpha Strike - Kitbash Wasp Battlemech 2
Valkyrie (30t), Wasp (20t)
Finally got around to casting up the Wasp model. Just not really happy with the head, but it will due for now.

Alpha Strike - Kitbash Wasp Battlemech
Looking for other small cheap mechs to use, I decided on the 20 ton Wasp. The WK model for the Wasp when compared to the other models looks more like a 30 ton Valkyrie and the Stinger model is just to small. So I slapped together another bug mech with parts from clickytech models; body/arms from a Stinger, legs from a Forestry mech, and the head from a Mjolnir. I was trying to get something close to a Wasp 3S mech, but the chest seems way off to me. I may need to start over and carve up the chest to get the abdomen to look similar to the drawing. In the drawing the weapons also look to small to be medium lasers, so I lengthened out the arm.

Alpha Strike - Kitbash Flea Battlemech 2
Finally casted up several of the Flea models. Had a few issues with the feet, so some of were cut off and replaced with plastic stock as a quick fix. There also are few air bubble around the cockpit and rear cowling. Other than the above they came out all right even with my amateur level skills. Next time I make a mold I need to place a few thin pieces of plastic sheet to bridge areas where air can be trapped.

Alpha Strike - Kitbash Flea Battlemech
I needed a cheap light mech to use as cannon fodder. So I kitbashed a Flea battlemech from a toy Star Wars AT-DP, legs from a Gambit battlemech, and medium pulse lasers from a couple of Bellona vehicles. The Flea is basically a slow, squat, and up armored version of the Locust battlemech (one of a few 20 ton bug mechs). It is not exactly like the art work, but it is close enough for me. Just need to order supplies to cast up a handful of them.

Alpha Strike - Simple Terrain 2
Picked up a few 9"x7"x6" storage crates at Walmart for a couple of dollars each. With some cutting, a little sheet plastic and paint they make decent buildings. I still need to add some clear plastic for windows. Again I did not add any details, since I am not sure exactly what they will represent.

Alpha Strike - Hansen's Roughriders Mechs
Started a group of mechs for the HRR mercenary group. The clickytech paint scheme has grown on me so I am going to paint up a few mechs for the group. The colors are quite bright, but I do not want everything to be painted in earth tones. Still would like to add a Shockwave, Marauder IIC, Locust, and a Mad Cat II/5 (Gus Model) to the group.
Templar III (85t), Mangonel (70t), Ghost (50t) Centurion (50t), Crimson Hawk (25t), Locust (20t)

Alpha Strike - Simple Terrain
Put in some time to make a dozen quick terrain pieces.
For forests I used some Dollar Tree Christmas trees that were just sitting in the Christmas box. They are not great looking, but they are more than functional. I would rather use model railroad trees if I can find them; they probably got thrown out.
I still need to cut some felt to match the bases, to represent the trees when a unit enters them.
The buildings are painted electrical switch boxes that come in a variety of sizes and range in price from 2-7 dollars. I did not add any details, since I am not sure exactly what they will represent. They have an added bonus of being made of hard plastic and have knocks out that can represent skylights.

Alpha Strike - Basing Infantry
Going to base infantry and battle armor as below on 50mm hexagons from Litko Game Accessories http://www.litko.net/. Why 50mm, because it is the closest size I could find to two inches. I like two inch hexagons because the majority of the miniatures fit on them, and hexagons are battletechy.
I will also be cutting up the MechWarrior infantry bases; mainly for aesthetic reasons.
Anyway, standard rifle infantry will be based with twelve figures to a base and special weapon infantry (SRM/Laser) will have six to a base. Inner Sphere based battle armor will have four to a base and Clan battle armor will be five to a base.

Alpha Strike - Miniature size
A lot of the miniatures in the MechWarrior line are not to scale with each other, which is understandable since they are really are just used to represent a specific unit. This is really evident in the vehicles, which are all over the place scale wise. But as long as it fits on the hex base it is acceptable to me.
Mechs on the other hand, I have a problem with, so I selected three mechs as standards to measure compatibility. So as long as they fit within the range I will use them.

Standards - Atlas III (100tons), Centurion Omni (50tons), Koshi (25tons)
There are also some that I am uncertain about, because they just seem off to me. The two light mechs on the right just seem way to small to me.
Locust (20tons), Koshi (25tons), Phoenix Hawk L (35tons), Mjolnir (25tons)

Alpha Strike - Summer Project
Picked up a copy of Alpha Strike and it seems to be rather beer and chips friendly game. It is a streamlined (simplified) version of Battletech, that allows a players to run multiple mechs and finish a game in a reasonable amount of time.
Instead of having a sheet of paper to record a single mech, the information has been reduced to an index card. It has been described as a paper version of clickytech without the restraints of preprinted dials. The cards for the mechs, vehicles, and infantry can be found here at the Master Unit List page at this site http://www.masterunitlist.info/ .
I have a box of the prepainted MechWarrior minis in the closet that I will be using for miniatures. Supposedly they are N-scale and they just need to be removed from the bases.
